Minnesota Fishing Reports

Welcome to the Minnesota Fishing Reports page.  Here you can find information about your favorite Minnesota lakes, rivers or waters.  Please feel free to post your latest Minnesota fishing report so that others can learn from you.

Improve your fishing skills and pass on your knowledge to others and be respectful of others - anglers and non-anglers alike.

Also be respectful of the Minnesota waters you fish.  Nobody wants to see their favorite fishing hole fished out because of the wrong information was given out.  Try to make your fishing reports informative, but at the same time a learning lesson for other Minnesota anglers.

Fishing Tournaments around Minnesota and Wisconsin
 (United States)
QuoteReply

Hey we have been doing fishing tournaments for 7 years now and many of us have fished competitively for longer than that.  That said, there are a lot of fishing tournaments across Minnesota and Wisconsin.  I think it would be fun to get into more of them and learn what it takes for several species, say bass, walleyes, crappies, catfish, muskies, and of course, multispecies tournaments.  So if you have a tournament nearby and are fishing them, let us know.  We plan on fishing our tournaments and several others.  We are already lined up for a couple bass tournaments just South of us, but we are game to try some other waters.

Maybe TopWater Joe can teach us some tricks on his waters, or jbl has some musky stuff to share and we could put a boat in a tournament or two.  Even to get a few boats out prefishing and learning from each other would be awesome.  Or just plan some fishing outings to target different species.  Like a bass fishing trip to Minnetonka, a musky outing to Lake Vermilion, smelting on Lake Superior, or muskies on Mille Lacs mixed in with some walleyes.  Or our Upper Red Lake crappie / walleye / pike trip coming up, oh the drum were fun too.  I think we have a great group of anglers out here and we could have some fun fishing.  I know I am ready for some fishing and this is the year to start making the fish run for help....

What do you guys think?
