This Sat was a little cold but still a great day to be on the water. The bass were a little slow but still catchable. We were able to put a decent bag together with 5 fish all over 17inches and with one was pushing 20".
Thanks to all that made it.
If anyone still wants to fish? Im on the water till it freezes! give me a call.
Great job Roger with a nice 14lb bag of fish.
Sounds like I missed a great event. Al, I'm guess you guys had around 16lbs give or take based on your description. Roger, 14lbs is a great bag on Chub. Were most fish caught in 8-12 fow on jigs? Or after lunch when they started to move up onto the base of the drop offs in the 6-8 ft range? How many boats made it out? Sounds like a fun day that's for sure.
Mike
Gander thing went great. Got an atta boy from the store staff today. Moved a bunch of inventory and had a great time w/a few other field staffers. We'll get a bit more out in front of it next year. Probably earlier in Sept and not on the WI opener. I got picked up by BG calls early in Sept so I didn't have much time to pull a couple of events together. Off to hammer on some quackers and honkers this coming weekend. Freezer is kinda empty right now.
See you guys Wed. I hope a bunch of folks can make it. Will Ouitdee ever post the final standing and event results?
Your correct HH at the base is were most of the fish we pulled came from.We were throwing jigs, worms.spinners and cranks a few of the bigger fish came out of 14+FOW T-rigging plastics.
We will find out the final standings at the party tonight I hope!
