I fixed up the way the total points were being calculated. When you view the standings online it should be easier to understand. I added the pounds/oz column, because that is what were used to seeing at the landing.
There was a slight modification on the how the points were being calculated. For those that want to understand I'll give an small example of the error, otherwise you can call me or talk to me at the next night. The change did not effect any standings, but did bring some teams closer together in points.
Old calculation:
Team 1 scored a total of 5lb 15oz on night 1
Team 1 scored a total of 5lb 15oz on night 2
Their total for the year would have been 10.30 points
Team 2 scored a total of 6lb on night 1
Team 2 scored a total of 6lb on night 2
Their total for the year would have been 12 points.
Team 1 was only off by 2 oz from Team 2, but their total for the year was higher.
This was a flaw in my programming. Sorry about that. I meant to convert each night weight for each teams to a decimal version of lbs/oz/
New calculation:
Team 1 scored a total of 5lb 15oz on night 1
Team 1 scored a total of 5lb 15oz on night 2
Their total for the year would have been 11lb 14oz (11.8750) points.
Team 2 scored a total of 6lb on night 1
Team 2 scored a total of 6lb on night 2
Their total for the year would have been 12lb 0oz (12.0) points.
Hope this makes sense. Remember this did not change any standing, but it did bring some closer in points.
