My first advise is don't go on Sunday!  I know sometimes thats the only time when teams get to go, but lakes around that area get huge amounts of traffic, and it doesn't matter what the weather is like.  If it was on Sunday, they would still be out jetskiing around

Did you guys find the weeds to be any trouble for your guys?  I was up there last week for the first time to basically get a feel of the lake.  We did try the docks but with no success and we did catch some deep.  We actually were surprised about catching no fish on the docks and they look they should be holding some.  But we fished the day after we were getting hammered by all those late night thunderstorms, so who knows.  But I also talked to some other who fished different lakes and caught fish under docks, but they said it was slower then normal.  Has anyone been fishing any other lakes for bass?

The only advise I can give is think deeper, but then ask how I can go even a little deeper.  We did see a guy moving around the shallower weeds flat and he said he was picking up a few small ones.  It will be interesing to see how the teams do.  I'm only interested in getting one fish so we don't get skunked like we did at Island Lake and I found a nice crappie spot and definetly will be fishing for some crappies while I'm up there.  If any team wants to fish for some crappies after they've got their limits , give me a call and I can tell where I found some.

If anyone see's Roger from the River Rats, ask how the crappie fishing has been on Sand Lake?

I might be heading up there either Tuesday afternoon or early Wednesday to check on a few more spots.  If anyone wants to tag along, just give me a buzz  at 218-590-1712, you more then welcome in my boat.  I'm on the hunt for that 1 pound 12" bass that keeps getting away from me, bass fishing is hard.
