Hey Al, I see you are now online and connected. So tell us how you keep catching big bass every where? Is it the twitching fishing reel? The sweet potato plastics? Or just luck?? I'm betting you are camping on the lakes now and that's making it tougher to beat ya. But good when we do.
doug,my sweet potato worms failed me last nite so i switched to a junebug lizzard, rootbeer craw, chart gulp worm texas rigged.how i keep getting my bass is, I put the hook in the water and the fish bite it,but I will tell you my twitch bar works great.if anyone wants, my camper will be in the campground on sand stop in. if your wondering i do give lessons!!!!water temp is up so early season tatics are slowing down, Ill be going deep with my sweet potato.its suppossed to be in the 100s this week so it may push the fish deep.lots of bass still on docks.
So the sweet potato went south on a lake. Go figure. You sure are bringing the bass to the scale and that's awesome. I will be stopping by for some Sand Lake fishing tips and coaching. Fishing lessons are always good. I bet the deep bite will be good, if you can find it and not have too many weeds to sort thru.
At least today was a lot cooler with the storms moving thru. Maybe that'll help with the big bass. Well see ya on the water..
Al,
"Twitch Bar" what the heck is it? Could you, or would be willing to share it with us here? Maybe a discription would help. Not so sure on docks anymore. Water is getting pretty hot. I fished them on last week and came up empty.
My partner, Steve will be back from vacation this week. Hope to up to Sand lake and check it out. Where is your camper located I sure need a lesson from the "master" Your doing awesome!!! Now I understand why you keep your boat in the water
Roger ( the Florida guy)
Mr. Olson, glad to hear your boat is back in shape now.
His twitch bar is on his bait caster he has. He can press it to make his line twitch inches at a time without reeling on the handle. I guess we all try to do the same thing while fishing our plastics and other gear on our regular reels, but with having a the reel do it, you know your getting a nice steady twitching. I vote Al's new nick name as "Twitch"
I'm sure I'll be down there a couple of times, I need to redeem myself from last weeks poor showing. I'm not going to get skunked this time around and I think I given you guys enough time to catch up I've been doing a lot of fishing outside of the bass scene, but now it's time to put some heat on Catchin Bass and Bass Express and of course the River Rats.
Tight lines everyone!
