Island Lake Resevoir is our next stop.  The minimum size to score is 12" and we will be doing length measurements on all fish that come in.  We will also be testing our a new weight system.   I will have a couple transport bags that teams can use or if your team has one, you can use that as well.  Basically all the weighing will be done at my boat.  I'll have the scale setup and ready to go.  This time you will bring your fish to my boat and then we will measure and weight your big fish first.  Then measue and weight all the fish together.  There will be a plastic basket that you can put your fish into and the weight taken.  The basket will not be factored into your total weight.  After weighing, place your fish back into the bag and you can release them back in the lake.

Remember 12" minimum size and NO LIVE BAIT, ONLY ARTIFICIALS ALLOWED.

I want to thank all the teams on the first night for keeping a heads up and using common sense about the weather and coming in before the weather turned nasty.  Good job to the all teams.

Good luck to everyone next Thursday.

Yeah, yeah.  Live bait would be too awesome.  Using only artificials is making me learn more fishing techniques and I am finally getting good with a senko.  But I never guessed that all bass liked it so well.  It doesn't seem to matter if you're on a river, a reservior or a natural lake.  Pitch a senko or tube..  Bass love em..

I know I will be buying a lot more senkos and tubes and in all kinds of colors.  If you haven't tried them talk to us and we will show you what to do.  You need to to keep up.

Here are some pics of the winners of the night and the big fish winners.

Big fish was 2lb 13oz from team "The Bass Express", congrats.  The winners for the night and only limit of smallies was the "Bass Turds" and good job to them.
