Yes you can fish a day or two, any that you want, just check in and pay Ouitdee before the night.  I like that too, but will be doing this to learn about bass.  And you are always welcome to show up and fish.  It's about the fishing and the fishing buddies..

See ya on the ice..

Hey Tom,

Yeah you can do any amount that you want.   Teams that don't sign up for the entire season will still be in the running for the end of year awards based on the nights that they fished.  So if I just did 3 nights and did really good, I could have a chance at the end of year awards, even though some teams have been doing all the nights.

I'll be showing up early and get the grill going for some brats.  Teams can show up early and get a little bite to eat b4 heading out.

Later.

There arent all that many nights in the Bass League. Thats one of the key advantages. I havent read the rules on drops but you may be able to get away missing one of the nights...

Making it 5 nights or so, every other week..not that hard to do.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Roger Olson. My buddy Steve Gutz and I just signed up to fish this season.

I was  born in Superior, left in my early 20's and have called Florida home ever since. I'm 59, with the big 60 coming up in February. My wife Sharon and I have been married 32 years. She supports my fishing and get this; she doesn't complaint a bit about my 5-6 days a week fishing habit  (6-8 hours each day). She's the love of my life and I'm truly blessed.

I'm a manufacturers rep in the intuitional furniture business here in Florida. I'm still working, but not much as I used to and spend the summers in Superior with most days spent fishing for Smallies on the St. Louis River. I fish for Walleyes too, but I love Smallies! I started fishing seriously about 6 years ago when I kind of backed off from working so much and we started spending the summers in Superior. I'm on my first boat, it's 16 1/2 Lund w/ a 90 Honda. I love it, I use the hell out of it and it's the perfect boat for how I fish.

My partner, Steve Gutz is retired from MPL and is one hell of  a Bass fisherman. He runs a Ranger w/ 150. Steve has lived on the river for many years and knows it like the back of his hand. Steve is 56 (I think) and is married to a wonderful lady named Deb, his wife of 1 1/2years. So I guess we still think of him as a newly wed and he might not be staying for the pizza and beer, lol.

Steve and I really excited and looking forward to fishing with you all. I hope to learn, catch lot's bass and have fun.

Hi Roger,

Welcome aboard..  We're glad to you have you guys fishing with us.  I am sure we'll be learning from each other.  The way things are shaping up,we will have a great group fishing this year.  We have members from at least three different bass fishing groups already signed in.  I will have to sit back and follow some of you experts around.  I am really going to try and take my bass fishing to a new level this year.  So bring on the competition and the better the competition the more we can learn from each other.

Stop out here anytime to leave fishing notes, tips, tricks, ideas.  That's what we do to pass the time until the boat can get out.  And ice fish.  Some of us are out tomorrow morning after crappies and then walleyes.  We will be posting the results on the Duluth Area fishing reports section.

Have a Happy New Year and if you look at the Teams list you are now there.  Welcome to the Duluth Area Bass League.  I am sure we will be here for a long time.
