Heres something that Ive been working on this season!

Take a small jigging Rapala, tie on a 6 to 8 inch long piece of 4lb test mono to the rear hook and attach a small fly to the end, tip it with a waxie or maggot.

Dont jig the Rapala aggresively just a slow up and down followed by an extended pause. This has worked well for Crappies,Perch and Slab Bluegills! And I even caught 2 rainbow trout the other day.

Thanks for letting me know that you gave it a try and that you caught fish.

When I first did it I was bored out of my mind and was just messing around and was very surprised it actually caught a few fish.

Thanks again, post as many questions as you would like there are a few great crappie fisherman here they just dont post that often.
