Lots of big names. But new fishermen are coming up in the ranks and definitley making a name for themselves.
Jason Hamernick, Tanner Wildes, Gregg Thomas to name a few. Lots to contribute both with traditional techniques and new methods.(Hamernick loves Bulldawgs)
Welcome Dembro31. I agree there are a lot of good anglers moving up the ranks. I too think there are some new methods and lures that are awesome. The Bulldawgs are a great line of muskie baits. Have you used them on the River? St. Louis River, of course.
Again it's great to have you out here.
I have been looking at the bulldawg a lot. Just a matter of time until I have several. I normally spend more time muskie fishing now that the league is done, so I'll be out trolling for them this fall. That's a blast. Have you been catching lots of muskies on the river? What sizes have you seen?
We saw some big fish working the channel and weededges lately. The time is getting right for me to start trolling.
Not much as far as boating muskies on the river. They are great followers. One 45", two mid 30's. One follow was close to 50". Big enough to give me the shakes. Figure 8 and it followed two loops and under the boat. Came back out after brothers bucktail and took off. Exciting 30 seconds.
What do you troll? Where?(do you stick to a particular section on river, and what depths, weed edges?) I hope you don't mind me asking. This is the first year we have concentrated on the river.
