Fall fishing

Was out on a little lake yesterday the fall turnover was done but the lake had not settled down yet so clarity was a little off.I started out the morning throwing crankbaits with little sucsess switched to plastic's with same results.I thought that it was just going to be one of those slow days. In the first 2hrs of fishing I had boated 6 fish but they were all under 14 inches. So I decided to tie on a spinner bait and give pike a try I got 3 pike on a weed edge and saw a fish chasing bait on the flats I went to investigate when I got there I threw out my bait and got hammered by a 19 inch largie I started targeting the flats with dead veg with my spinnerbait and found thats where the big bass were active over the next 3hrs I boated over 10 fish over 17 inches and 11 fish over 14.

So much for that slow day.I just wasnt where the active ones were feeding.

Water temp 47 degrees.

Well, that's keeping your eyes open and letting the fish tell you what they wanted.  That's why you keep catching fish, Mr. Twitch..
