Thr number one thing that I could say about fall fishing is fantastic no certain techniques just get out and fish. The fish seem to be schooling, so when you find one there are more close.
Topwater is very affective this time of year!Spooks, frogs, sammys, buzzbaits and rapalas.
Yeah, they are certainly schooled up. Nothing, then wow, lots of fish and they are feeding up. They should be biting good for a few weeks, depending on the weather. The top waters are definitely a good thing. Weeds dying off makes that work well now. I think throwing muskie baits are the way to go. I had a 21 inch smallie on the river this week, while fishing with Margaritaville. By the way Margaritaville's boat got totaled, so he's in the market for a boat, might be heading south to pick one up from Craigslist.
Yeah, yeah, you fish, can't believe you have time to work any more. But that's a great thing.
I think the best and most important fall bass tip is that you need to get out and keep fishing. Nothing else really does it. Congrats to the Brian and his dad on winning the last Ultimate Angler Bass, this one on Big Lake in Cloquet. Good job.
Dennis, I think you should bring more of the pickles to the events next year. I think you should get an air freshener made from them for Brian. Just kidding... on the air freshener..
