MMTS Teams?
 (United States)

Hey Doug, how many team do we really have for MMTS?  I was looking through the rosters and their really isn't a lot of teams listed, and some of the teams that are listed are fishing the Arrowhead division.  The way it looks right now it seems that only one division is needed for both the river and inland.  What's the deal??

Interested to know,

We are hoping to get to 15 teams or pretty close.  We haven't updated the team list lately but we should have 15 teams solid every night.  Lots of the guys want a group that hangs out at the landing after and not two groups where only a few teams show.  I know there is a team or two in the list that is from the Arrowhead group, but I am not sure there are many.  I heard that Electroshock is going and the Muckers.  I know that the walleye group including Craig were in on the plan.  And the Aquaholics want to fish Lake Superior more, so they are going to fish there too.  But that's the only ones and the majority of MMTS is staying.  So we will have a full group, but one group going from the river to inland lakes together and head to head every night, sounds good.  Plus that means we do get to hang around with everyone each night after, so that group will be bigger than last year for sure.

We will keep our permits and if we have more than 15 teams that will be showing all the time, then we will permit the other nights too.  Unless we get more then 22 teams, then we will split again.  But for one year, I think this is a good thing and many teams have been lobbying for it.

Thanks,
