Nice camera trick..  Yeah, yeah, that was a nice bass.  Now try to catch it on a league night.  Besides someone was holding the camera and they might beat you to the spot.  Or have other spots to try.  Either way bring it to the landing and I hope someone catchs the state record for both Minnesota and Wisconsin on a league night on the River.  That would be awesome..

Good fishing,  Doug

Now that's a nice bass.  I hope you pull off a couple nights this year will fish like that.  And then show me how to do it for Monday nights.  It would be great to bring a few of them in with a limit of walleyes and crappies to go with them.  Because you only use bobbers, right??  and live bait of course..

Alright I know you are more about artificials, but on the river, live bait rules...

Live bait, who uses live bait for bass?

Shhhhh, thats a secret tenacious.  Live bait, doesn't work for smallmouths on the river, don't listen to him.

There should be some big bass scored this year.  There is a 24" with my name on it on the river, count my words on that.

Smallies and live bait are two things that go together..  Shhhhh..

A 24", with your name on it?  I like the goal, and it is possible and I would not be surprised to see you bring it in.  That would be awesome.  I think the bass league this year is going to bring some bass to the scales that will surprise people.  I am sure some of the places we are fishing do not get much serious bass fishing attention.  Well that changes this year, ok only for a day or two, but we don't want to hurt the fishing, just enjoy it.

I'll buy film and charge the batteries for the camera, so when you bring in the 24" we can take a picture for out here...  but if it is 23.999", forget it..  You said 24"..   Just kidding..  Any smallie over 18 is a good fish and any over 20 is awesome.  I am sure we'll have a bunch of pictures by fall.

See ya out here soon.
