Yes the smelting has been great. We should be able to fill those coolers pretty quick. I guess we will need some beer to kill time.
We are even considering selling some smelt as a fund raiser for the fishing leagues. We could get some shirts, hats, stickers for the boats, or cover some of our other expenses. So if you know of a fishing guide, bait shop or restaurant that might want some, let us know.
Thanks and we'll see you soon.
I want to see the 40 gallon pull, that would rock.. But someone might put out their back. I want a BIIGGG pull.
Moral support.. I like it Load. We certainly don't want you to go wacko. Relax and talk fishing.
See ya there..
They are great for tip ups in the winter, and on strip-on spinners in the summer for pike. Lake Trout love them and if placed on the bottom where Lake Trout are roaming, they will scavenge on them. Catfish also like them and I am sure there are a lot of other uses, but those are just the ones I use smelt for. If anyone else has a fishing technique that uses smelt, please pipe in.
The Loadmaster uses them to bait in family and friends for big shin-digs...
