I think I got those extra posts when things were slow.  I deleted them now.  But I may not have noticed if you had not pointed it out.  Thanks.

When we go smelting, you're in...  After all we will need some beer to go with the smelt.

The company is called H. Christiansen Company.  I think you can get the phone number in the yellow unders NETS.  The phone number I have is 724-5509.

They don't have siene nets setup for siening for smelt.  You basically just buy the netting from them and it's up to you to put the sticks on the end to suite your needs.  You can just call them and let them know that you want some smelt netting up to the max of 25' wide and 4' tall, they know what you need.  They put on the floats for you to.  As for the extra sock in the middle, I haven't tried those yet, but it seems like that would work great as well, especially if there is any of kind of waves going on.

It's fun being out there late at night on a nice warm spring day and everyone is anticipated the opener water season just around the corner.

Tight lines.

One thing to remeber if you want the SOCK in the net, they are a B.... to pull when the waves are high or you have alot of smelt in the net. Old people like myself it is to much work.

An old Thai proverb is when the rivers are running clear of ice, the smelt are running on the point.>>>later the load

Thanks Load..  Old Thai proverbs now..  I like that.  I will check them out and have one with in two weeks and before the rivers are running clear of ice.  I don't want to miss the action.

The way things are looking we are getting close to smelting time.  I think a couple weeks or three at the most now.  The Cohos are already feeding in that area, so there must be smelt starting to stage.  The time is getting close.  I saw that someone has been keeping track of the smelt for a few years and said it is normally within a week plus or minus of April 24.  So I am shooting for that weekend, if you are making plans to get some smelt.
