First-- What do we consider alot. Depending on where I'm working and what time on starting, I could be out there everyday.
If I get laid off this winter- I might live in the Fishhouse. But pretty much so. I will be on the lake Sat-Sun all day somewhere.
Robbo
Lets keep it in mind for next season Bob.I went out yesterday checked the local ice most of the lakes in the area have a little open water still but the smaller ones we hard . 2 of the lakes that I ventured out on had 3 to 4 inches in the areas that I knew held good ice this time of year but 3 three of the others had less.
I managed to get 4 crappies and 1 gill one one of the lakes. There should be good ice on these lakes by this week end.
Moose-still open
sturgeon-still open
island- still open
sand-still open
bear-still open
Just got the word today, My company will be laying of 150 people tomorrow. So-- either I will be working alot or be fishing alot.
Don't know if I will be one of the 150 or not. I still have one job to finish up that I started. I have the prints at home with me, so If I'm one of the 150, someone will have to drive out to me to get the prints. They keep telling me I have to work 10 on Friday and Saturday, but that don't mean much.
Kinda of a Sad thing when people get laid off just before a holiday.
Let you know tomorrow.
As far as the Fishing outing this winter. My sister took a new job in Hawaii. She starts Feb 1 and they are selling the Cabin. They already have a interested party and will probably be closing on the first of January, so staying at her cabin isn't a option anymore.
I will try planning a day up on Mille Lacs- If anybody is interested.
