Hunting was terrible.  Seen one Buck last weekend and seen one this weekend, but it was to early to shot- another 10 minutes, would have enough light to positively ID as a buck.  But the snorted and grunted gave him away. But, still just a little to dark to shot. I think I'm going to muzzledload hunt this year, so I'll have morw of a chance then.  Our biggest problem was the corn.  Read that the state corn harvest was at 85% as of last weekend. We must be the 15%, because there was hardly any corn harvested around us.

Some nice deer shot neer us.  South of Kimball (about two miles from us) a 16 and 21 pter were taken.  Hunting partner went and scored the 21 pter.  He scored it 225- but he is just get started into scoring them.  These two deer were shot about 2 miles from each other.

Also heard of a few 14 pters.  and some nice 10's.  Friend works in a butcher shop and someone brought in a massive 7 pter(according to them).  Biggest 7 pter they every seen and this was on maybe  a 2 1/2 YO buck.

Heards lots of people getting ticketed for hunting over bait.  Guns were confiscated from what I hear.

Heres some Pic's of one of the 14 Pointers

It should would be a good year to get one of those bucks.  Not much happening where I have been hunting.  But I didn't get any pre-season scouting in, and that hurts.
