I have been invited up to Marguette,MI for the last couple years for a salmon fishing trip. Timing was never right. Friend called me the other night and asked if I wanted to go this year. Talked it over with the better half, was told I was stupid if I didn't go this year.

Just have to split the gas and food for the weekend. The boat is being provided by a friend of a friend.  Leave Aug 7 right from work. Be fishing (I'm told) at 4am Friday. Nothing but fishing the rest of the weekend.  Looking forward to It. Then two weeks after that, Work is taking me and others employees (Around 80 us total) up to Rainy Lake for a extended weekend of fishing. That is going to be fun also- Leave home- don't pay for anything. keep all receipts and put them on the time card. (Love free weekends).

I'll take lots of Pics and Videos and hopefully brag how we did.

Dream trip sounds so euphoric......but this would certainly be at the top of my list.  http://www.bigstrike.ca/index.html    Check out the photo gallery....these are bar none some of the biggest pike in the country and to pull one through the ice would be awesome.  I love ice fishing so I'd rather do it through the ice than on a line with rod and reel.  Their biggest this last winter was 47".....2007's winter brought in a 49lb'er with a 22.5" girth.  This outfitter helped a fella set the world record for biggest walleye through the ice....18.3lbs and the previous record came from the same lake.  They believe the Canadian record is swimming in there too.  It's an expensive trip but you could easily catch the biggest fish of your life and who knows......a record walleye.

That's definitely a dream trip.  HUGE pike and walleyes, with a shot at a record.   Oh yeah, that's worth it.

I'll set it up...along with all the saltine crackers and black label beer you can choke down! You and Doug can spring for the gas bill and I'll buy food and beverages. Let me know if you like salted or non salted crackers.
