What group of kids this year? Are they even out of school on the 4th? What time? How many people have to work on the 4th that would have liked to particapated? Just a few thoughts

It's a field trip for Edison School 7th graders. I believe it will be around 10AM. Steve Ondrus probably knows the most information.

Yeah, we still could use a few more boats to make it the easiest, but let Steve know or post here.  We have a pretty big group of kids signing up already.  So it's a great way for us to introduce more kids to fishing.  Should be fun.

Fellas,

It is our school field trip and the kids will be arriving around 10am.  We will be there until 3pm.  The expectation is that you do not have to hang around the whole time.  Any time that you are able to spend is greatly appreciated.  We had the kids sign up if they wanted to fish, and as it sits right now, most of them are signing up to fish!  We are bringing around 70 kids.  There will be plenty of things for them to do while they are not fishing (kickball, swimming, volleyball, etc.)  Depending on the number of boats, I am thinking that we could take the kids out in 1/2 hour shifts or so, so that we accomodate all the kids that would like to fish.  I am going to be heading there either Friday or Sunday to see if we can drum up a trolling bite so that the kids do not have to be casting.  Last year's field trip I ended up with a hook in my ear   Not that anyone should be nervous...  (Actually it was my own fault and had nothing to do with the students)  If everyone who would like to go could let me know, I will let our kitchen staff know so that we can plan to have a lunch there for you.  (Now keep in mind that this is school lunch portions - so like a hotdog, chips, and a fruit - so you may want to supplement)  Any other questions, please feel free to ask!  I appreciate the willingness to help out.  Most of these kids would not get the chance to fish like this, so it is a great opportunity.

And Twitch, it is June 4th.  FYI - I will probably be on the water around 8 am or so getting the boat ready and doing a little last minute scouting.
