We were out fishing on Vermilion the other day when Mike catch a 39" northern.  It's going to taste pretty good Superbowl sunday.  He also got a nice size trout for sunday.

Lake Vermilion 39inch pike caught thru the ice Jan 06.

Thanks Rainz.  Sounds like you should be doing some Vermilion fishing reports for us.  A 39" northern is a great fish and a trout to boot.  Awesome.  Maybe you can show some of us the fine art of fishing Vermilion..  I hope we hear more from you.  I know that cabin fever happens up there too.

You know you would love fishing our league.  Or get Mike out a few times a year up there.  We could have a day where we bring a few teams and we mix up teams and fish for fun.  Lake Vermilion would be a great spot for something like that.  So would the St. Louis River in our back yard.  Just a thought, since you and Mike seem to get out a bit.  It's a great way to get out a little more and a very fun time.

Nice photo..

I've never fished south of Vermilion.  In the summer we usual fish Little Vermilion, Sand Point, Namakan, and Elbow.  Elbow is close and easy to fish after work.  Vermilion is getting over run by Muskie fishing.

Mike just got off the ice and only caught 4 perch.  I'll keep you informed when we start crappie fishing in March.  I'll have some great pictures for you.
