Cool deal Brian. I always knew perch was where the big bucks were. I love ice fishing for them. I have the knack for stupid little fish near the bottom. And you can play them onto the hook. Nothing better on ice, except maybe a big ole school of crappies..

The Perch Extravaganza out of Hunters is a hell of a good time! Biggest perch will get ya $500 but the prizes are what draws the crowd in....well that and the beer. Won an Aqua-vu Scout XL last year! 2 years ago the winning perch was 2lbs! The thing looked like a bloated smallie. Usually takes a 1.5lb fish to place in the top 10....although my buddy won it with a 1.5lber about 6-7 years ago.

Multispecies.com fishing Challenge. Hunters Point Resort on Eastside Mille Lacs Lake. 7am -2pm
Hunters Point is having there Perch and Pout Contest and were going to fish in conjuction with that. They will be having door prizes and will be paying out 100% of entries. Cost is $10 for a button. The buttons have a number on them which will be used for the door prize drawings that are drawn from 2:15-2:30. Please let me know who can make it. I'm going to talk to them and see if I need to do something about reserving some buttons, I don't want people to drive up there and there out of buttons.
