The Wright County Fishing Club has challenged us to tournament on Mille Lacs on Feb 16. We're working on a location to meet.
What do you think? And is there any other leagues or people that might be interested?
Sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe we'll get a traveling trophy, a frozen perch or something else, important and impressive.
Got a suggest from one of the guys from WCFC. Wait until closer to the date to set a meeting place. That way we will have better idea of snow, lake, and fishing conditions. They also rented a fishhouse for the day but never fished in it. Used it just for eating and a base camp. Thought that might be a good idea-- Maybe everybody throw in 5 bucks for a house and it is open to anyone that pays towards it. to go eat tkae a nap or maybe drop a line in there for a bit. Any thoughts on this or any other ideas???

I dont need the challenge.I just want to fish and bull%$#@ with the guys. The house thing sounds great. I hope we can get a few people there from both leagues to exchange lies, I have lots of the to tell to anyone willing to listen.
Just as an FYI.....the Mille Lacs Perch Extravaganza is Feb 16th. out of Hunter Point. Very fun contest with some nice prizes. If you guys are shooting for that date it might be worth getting into the perch contest also.
AnglerInsider is having an "informal" perch contest out of Macs Twin Bay on Feb. 2nd. That one is $10 to enter and top two perch take home the money. Everyone is welcome to attend that event.
