I hope everyone has great luck out hunting and coming back here to let us in on their hunting stories. I have already shot a doe with the bow and taken a buck that ran into and under my truck. So I already have venision in the freezer, but then the kids will eat all that and more, so I am just hunting for the freezer this year. I know several of our guys do a lot better than that and get some big bucks. I hope they show use some photos.

Robbo big story and only story of the deer opener. The family I hunt with planted some new trees about 2 years ago. Well last night a buck decided to come in a made a big rub on one of the trees. This tree is located about 100' from the house and 50' from the road. It's one of those things you would have to see to believe. But, for myself seen 7 deer, non with horns. My neighbor got a really nice 8 pointer. 20" inside spread.

I had that happen once a few years ago. Even saw the buck and I knew why everyone was after him. Very nice wide rack, but only 10 points. On the opening weekend, he ran right into where I was and I got him. So who knows. This year all we've seen are a handful of does and fawns. So for 4 of us, we have taken 3 already, all does, which is good in our area. We really need to get a better balance in the herd. I think we are 12+ to 1 Does to Bucks. So this helps a little.
