If you love to fish or want to fish more, here are some choices.  Lots of fishing leagues to choose from:

  1. Monday night multispecies league, 15 team limit, best 10 of 13 nights, contact Doug, 218-390-9973.  We have 8-10 teams already.
  2. Tuesday or Wednesday nights, St. Louis River ONLY group, Multispecies with lower 4 fish limits.  Contact the crappieking if interested.
  3. Tuesday or Thursday nights, multispecies group doing exactly what the monday night group is doing.  Contact Scooter if interested.
  4. Wednesdays, Cloquet Area Fishing League, 15 team limit, multispecies, 13 nights.  Contact Ryan on that.
  5. Thursdays, Duluth Area Bass League, 9 nights, bass only, artificial baits only, contact Al Ansell if interested.

We also have a few people talking about something on Saturdays and another group on the Iron Range.  If interested in starting one, let us know.  We'll help ya get it going.

ICE FISHING ANYONE??  We are talking about getting out once a month in the off season.  We'll pick a date and a lake and post it out here.  If you want to join us, you are very welcome to do so.

The Monday night league is looking at the following options to eliminate prefishing and level the playing field for everyone.  What do you think, would this help?

  1. Pick all lakes by drawing - every week.
  2. Lower the entry fee to 100.00/team.  Less cash, more plaques.
  3. 2-3 nights - one fish species only; pike or walleye or bass or panfish.  Draw for it.
  4. One night - artificial only.
  5. 2 nights - eliminate 1 species at the landing, by drawing.

Alright that's what we discussed for Monday Night.  Please spread the word and let's see who's interested in fishing in these groups.  Looks like Monday Multispecies is still solid, but there could be some more opportunities for someone to fish on another night and get out fishing.  That's cool.

We did have a new team show, they are looking to get out another night a week.  That's a good thing.  Thanks for stopping by Jim.
