Awesome!! Does anyone know a spot like this? Or where this was taken? Now that would be an experience. I wonder what the limit is?
Very cool! Thanks Webdude and Ouitdee..
Pretty cool video. I believe this is an exotic species of carp. I think they are called Asian Jumping Carp. They are very prolific and are causing problems in the Mississippi water shed. There is no limet, they can grow up to 100 lbs and can be very dangerous to boaters and fisherman. There was a show on TV awhile back and they were bow fishing for them, as they would jump behind the boat they would try to shoot them out of the air.I think you can get more info from the DNR office. This is a fish we do not want in our waters as they can displace native specices and damage spawning areas.
Thanks crappie king. I know that given a chance to see this first hand,.. I would jump in the boat too. Ha ha.. Yeah, I hope we don't see them here, but if they do I am getting a bigger net and a lighter one. One good side effect would be everyone slowing down on the water. No one would want to hit one of them at 70 mph. That would make it even worse. Helmets would become standard on any boat going over 40mph.
Well I do wish I had a few spots with crappies biting like this and that just doesn't happen. Or walleyes, bass, pike, etc. So I will get back to becoming a better angler and maximizing my time on the water.
