The Smelt run is here and will be moving up the north shore soon. So get out if you want some. All the normal spots. We were out on Saturday and caught what we need.
The way things have been for years, the smelt will only be here 3-5 days, so it's now or wait til next year.

The peak of smelting was a few days ago. But they are still going up the shore and you probably can get some if you hit it tonight. This is the latest the smelt run has ever been that I can recall.
What do you think SmeltKing, can someone still get some around here?
I have moved on to the inland lakes and now to the river. Gotta practice and fish..
