Smelt Run 2007 - count down

I know it must be driving the Smelt King or Smelt Master, whatever he calls himself today, nuts...  The smelt are coming and if this weather keeps up, they may run under the ice.  I bet you are pacing the smelt shores and preparing for the mother lode.  Getting the net and waders ready, the 5 gallon buckets, coolers, freezers and all set.

So, Smelt King..  What's your prediction for when they will be here?  I am guessing the third weekend of April.  What do you think are we going to have a night as good as last year?  I hope so that was awesome.  But I will not be using as much this year.

The smelting King is praying for a 90mph west wind. You are right did check the point tonight looked like alaska According MRS Smelt King, we will be on the point 2weeks 2 days and 11 hours from now. The run will not be as good as last year due to the ice conditions on the lake and snow we had this month. Everything is ready.

We'll all be praying for that wind Smelting King.  Yeah I bet this low water won't help either.  Bring on the rain.  3 weeks of rain..

We needed the rain really bad, so I am glad it happened.  Now all I need is a nod from the smelt king and I am in my truck and off.

I do hope we get a lot more rain to help with the water levels.
