Thanks Roger for the photos. Spirit Lake area, St. Louis River, Oct 25th, 2006. Let the guessing games begin...I wonder who's boat it was
I am going to have to ask the Choppers what they were fishing for up there. I think it's Chopper1's boat and they must have been moving fast and after dark.
Hey Chopper1 is that your boat? Is everyone alright? I sure would hate to hear that someone got hurt. How's the boat? Do you have plans of how to get it back to the water?
Wow.. What a parking spot, does JD charge to park on his island?
Up yours guys!!!! The story has a pretty happy ending but could have been much worse. We were up above 23 until dark.......headed back and hit about 3 flocks of soemthing.....ran over some brown varment swimming across the river and hit a flock of geese just before we went onto the island. Obviously I was off just a bit. Before I knew it.......saw the grass and thought to my self.......FU$#@ !!! Benny had his jacket and hat covering his face because it was so damn cold......so he was even more surprised than I was. Anyway......we hit something went airborn and then powerslided to a stop.....sending Benny out of the boat and me over the edge as well. No injuries....no major damage to the boat and with the help of 90 Yamaha horses and 4 strapping young men she came out just as easy as she went in. Oh.....and that something we hit......a muskrat hut!! We hit it dead on.....Dukes of Hazzard style. Here are a few more choice pictures.
Want to thank the Coast Guard for giving us a lift back to the dock...........it may be hard to believe but we didn't have a drop to drink. That new GPS unit is looking real good!
Thanks for posting the pictures Ouitti (sorry about speling)......jackass!!
Can't figure these pictures out.......tell me how to upload them and I'll share.
Very glad things worked out. Imagine the money you could make with the film of that Dukes of Hazard move. Wow.. Geese, muskrat and a muskrat house. All in one trip. We heard the Coast Guard was there and that no one was hurt. That's a great thing. I bet that was a bit of a surprise and to be thrown from the boat, I do hope no hit anything on the way out of the boat or landing.
I am glad it came off easily too. I wasn't sure if it was in any more water. How's the boat, motor, the boaters?
