FOUND: Fishing gear - Monday June 19, 2006

If anyone hears of anyone that forgot their fishing gear at Garfield on Monday, please have them call me at 218-390-9973 and describe it.  We want to get their gear back to them.  I know if it had been me, it would be a very bad day and expensive and tough to replace.

We do have a couple leads and we will follow up and see if we can get the fishing gear back to it's owner.

Thanks..

Well the owner of the fishing gear found us.  He was out fishing with some friends.  They were in the Bayliner and forgot the gear on the dock.  He described it very well and is off and fishing again.  As a thanks, he gave us a couple certificates, that will be part of our drawings at the end of year.  He's going to check out our league, who knows, he could be a new team next year.

It's a good thing that we got the angler and his fishing gear back together.  Very cool.

Good fishing and see ya on the water...

Yeah, the Loadmaster told me how that came about.  That was strange coincendences going on there.  The next day, some guy at the Loadmasters work place asked him on a long shot that he might have seen some lost fishing gear, all he heard was that the Loadmaster did alot of fishing on the river and around Duluth..  Now that is weird, how many times have you been asked if you might have seen some lost fishing gear at some landing and that particular landing and that particular time of the day.  Strange.  Another twist was that we would have not known about the fishing gear, if some guy in a different boat, who happen to notice the fishing gear, came over to all of us talking by the boats and asked if any of us left any fishing gear at the dock.  And Mr. Doug being the nice guy sometimes, taking the gear home and then trying to find an owner.

The guy who lost the gear was in some serious luck that night, he might want to buy a lotto ticket or two
