I assume that there wasn't enough interest in the contest on Mille Lacs that was discussed for Saturday.
My son and I are fishing in the Perch and Pout contest out of Hunters on Saturday. We had OK fishing there a couple weeks ago so hopefully it will go well.
If your up there and see a great big guy sitting on a bucket it's probably me. Stop and say Hi.

Only heard from a couple people. Also a tournament that I do the weigh-ins and help setup moved the date of there contest to the 16th also.

Yeah, it's been tough getting the guys out this year. Some are hitting local spots but not doing too much. Some were at the Sports show yesterday and others today. Not as much there as one would like to see. But I was sizing out boats. Ok wishing and dreaming. That's part of fishing.
We'll come down that way for some fishing early. We're working on a couple projects so that would be a good thing.
It was a tuff fish in the wind on Saturday but atleast it was warm. We only managed a handfull of Perch but I did have one to weigh. .98#. 13.5 inches The largest fish was 1.32# when I left with about 10 minutes to go and I haven't seen the results as of yet.
There were a few guys chatting on the sponsering resorts web site today that the guides that work out of the resort won or placed in the contest I'm not sure which. I guess if I would have been the second place guy and got beat out by the Pro I may be a bit upset.
Were going to give Mille Lacs one more try next weekend. I'm going to fish on the west side this time. It is really close to Perch time.
