Sub List

Do not know if we really need a list of subs.  What I would like to see if a sub is used, a $5.00 fee will be asseed to go toward the end of year party.  We should be able find some one a partner if the lead time is long enough.

Mr Cook, Mr Durfee sub for you last year?.  If so, I left him a broucher and asked if he was joining, so we could take his money and give him another spanking,  hope he knew I was only joking with him.

If anybody wants to list a sub go ahead.

Marty was our third partner last year. If we're doing the 3 person team again, he'll probably be our third again this year. I have a friend that fishes a multi-league that they started a couple years ago. They only fish every other Wednesday, so he said he'd be open to sub, as well as some others in their league. Let me know where to post his info.

I like the $5 fee, anything to help the party costs!

I would it that one of the original team members has to be in the boat.  I think last year, only your team used the third party to fish when Marty used his wife as a partner.  I think the rule is confusing i.e.   I do not know how we limit this.  It was also disscussed about the entry fee if someone fishes half year and for the prizes at the end of the year. Also, what could happen, is that a team has a couple of ringers for a certain body of water and this new team shows up, is that fair to the rest of the teams?

We can talk about this subject at the next meeting and a have vote on it, but I think there should be some limitations if it is passed.

Remmeber you can bring anybody in as a Sub without being on a list.

I guess I was under the impression that the third person could fish if neither of the main team members could make it. If not, and one of the main team members has to be there, there's really no reason to have a third person, as a sub could be used.

Maybe some more clarification would be good?

You right Cooke.  Last year it was a three man team (all three members where all main members), so at least one of the THREE needed to be there.  The intent was to give teams a better chance of making all the nights or not missing as many nights.   The rule "team members cannot sub for another team" still applied (this was discussed last year for the 3-man team thing)

I didn't participate last year, but I thought there was some "playing around" with this rule last year.  Say we have the 3 man teams this year.   Another team needs a sub for the next night because he can't find anyone else.  One of my team members quits the team, he becomes eligible to fish on a different team, now he can sub.  I vaguely remember something like this happening last year, could be wrong.

Do we allow teams to split up or even take on a third member half way through the season?  So can we add remove members and add member anytime we like?  I don't know if there was a rule or not, but in some cases it might be needed (one member has medical problems and can't continue for the rest of the season).   But who decides? Comp committee.  I think removal of a team member or adding a new member should be voted on by the comp committee or decided by the pres to allow it or not.

It's not a huge issue, but one that should be brought up.
