Records continue to be broken. Our previous highest points scored for a season was scored by the Good Guys Finish Last Team of Drew and Gary with 1339 points in 2004. But our current leaders have now crushed that number with 1459 points and we still have 2 nights to go. Congrats.
Add to this that there are already 4 teams with over a thousand points each and a shot at breaking that record also. Now that shows just how talented this group of anglers is.
The top four points getters so far this year are: Sarcastic -- 139 fish -- 1459 points. TGIF -- 127 fish -- 1287 points. Team Choppers -- 100 fish -- 1122 points. Proven Presentations -- 117 fish -- 1045 points.
Note these are also our tie breakers, in case of a tie on position points, so these will decide if needed.
Keep up the great fishing and see ya on the water..

Well the weather was beautiful, but the fishing slower than it has been.
Once again our winning team was the current points leaders, Pat and Ross of Team Sarcastic with 153 points. They had three species bag with two limits of northern pike and rock bass, plus a couple smallmouth bass.
Second place went to Team TGIF with 150 pts and 4 species, including a limit of nice smallmouth including 18 and 19 inch hogs. Third place went to the team of Don and Ron of Frustrated Inc. with another four species bag.
The smallmouth bass and pike are still biting but moving locations frequently with the winds and weather. Team Frustrated's boat had issues on the way in, luckily Team Patience was right behind them and stopped to lend a hand. We do hope that all is well with the motor and Thanks.. to Steve and Dan for helping out once again. They always set a high standard for sportsmanship and I am sure Don and Ron would do the same for anyone also.
I'll say it again.. This is a great group of anglers and talented also.

Night 10 - Big Lake, Cloquet Minnesota - Results are posted.
Click here for the Fish Scored and current standings.
This night had the worst weather of the year and we had to call it early, near 7:20pm due to high winds, lightning, rain and severe weather nearly on us.
Our winning team and league leaders was Team Sarcastic with 132 points. They had three species bag with two limits of largemouth bass and bluegills.
Second place went to another team familiar with winning, last year's champions, Proven Presentations who also had three species. Third place went to the Old Farts again with another three species bag.
Many teams did not get to all their spots and the weather called us short. But everyone did a great job and kept safety in mind, coming to the landing when needed. Thanks..
Great fishing guys..

Second place went to Sarcastic with 142 points, who had three species and two limits. Third place went to the Old Farts team of Rick and Mark with 140 points and a five species bag.
We have three teams already over a thousand points for scored fish already and we have 4 more nights to go. WOW! We also have three teams with over a hundred fish scored and that's higher than ever too. Here's some of the high lights.

Very nice quality fish tonight. Lots of big fish, walleyes, northern pike, smallmouth and a few surprises. Big bluegills and redhorse suckers. Great job to everyone.
We have now scored a thousand walleyes and over 80,000 inches of fish. That's a lot of fish. And we are just getting better. Awesome...

The weather started out terrible, lots of rain, wind and temp changes, even some thunder 30 minutes before launch. But it was just raining and a little windy at the start and as the night went on it got a lot better and ended with a great sunset and calm waters. The weather affected the fishing a bit, but the fish were still there and some teams got into them.
Our winning team tonight was Proven Presentation. They did it in a big way with 6 species and two limits. Another great job by Mike G. and Erick F. Congrats!!

Special "Thanks" to Sam Cook and Amanda Odeski for coming out and we are looking forward to reading their article this Sunday in the Duluth News Tribune. Sam rode along with Team Sarcastic and Amanda shared a boat with Team TGIF. They were great sports and are certainly welcome to join us any time.
Very good fishing everyone, even under the difficult conditions we had a surprising number of fish caught. Great job to everyone.

They weighed in early at 1:30 with their catch. Second Place went to Jason and Jennifer Snyder. They weighed in earlier at 11:00 a.m. with their four fish weighing 16.72 pounds. They also captured Big Fish honors with an 'eye tipping the scales at 8.01 pounds. They also fished the Allouez Bay area in three to five feet of water but trolled shallow running Thundersticks for their catch. Third Place went to Bill McGee and Tracy Nelson with four fish weighing in at 16.41 pounds. They were trolling shallow running Reef Runners in six to eight feet of water in Dokegemah Bay. Congratulations!
