Re: Vermillion  (United States)

Walleyes are easy at dark with shap raps at that time, good eaters mixed with big ones too.  I usually get there for muskies in the fall, trolling is the best approach, muskies mixed with pike, big ones.  Yeah the smallmouth do have an odor, and it's not a pretty one.  I wondered why, the craws makes sense to me.  Tubes and jig and pigs for me too.  But I have used leeches and big minnows at that time of year too.  That way you can catch walleyes, smallies or pike.

WOW, not World Of Warcraft, how about a new World Of Walleyes or Wild Ole Walleyes?  I could work on that one.

Re: Vermillion  (United States)
any hotspots to try on the westend? we'll be just out of cook. When i go up there i was looking to mostly top water and bulge spinners for muskie. but any hot spots would be great. we get 2hrs of free guided fishing from the resort but i think my dad would like to use that to find the walleye. so ill be on my own to find the muskie

Trolling the reefs, just get the lure bouncing off rocks but not hanging up.  I'ld have to look at a map to put you on em.  I have fished the Cook end mainly for nearly 22 years now.  As we get closer to winter they will drop into deep water, even 50 feet.  Jigging spoons or heavy jigs and minnows fished vertically.

The last few times I've been up there were for bass and muskies.  We've had some awesome days catching muskie and pike over 38 inches every 45 minutes.  That was some fishing I'll never forget.
