I was just wondering if anyone here has ever fished vermillion before? I will be going the end of Sept. and wondering if anyone had any good spots or lures that have worked well.We'll be staying on the west end of the lake at Spring Bay Resort. I will be fishing mostly for Walleye, Smallies, and Muskie(after 12 O'clock i will only be fishing for muskies). Sounds like a great deal and a fun trip!  Hope you catch some good fish.  I usually try to head that way in Oct to chase some ski's.  Mainly trolling because the weather is usually a little crisp by then.  I don't get up that way to fish for smallies.  But the the times I did, we used tubes and jig-n-pigs trying to imitate the zillions of crawfish in there.  Some of those big pigs just gorge themselves on crayfish and they just stink.  It's like they take on the smell of those rusty crawfish.  Maybe it was just me, but they did have an odor, weird.

is it realy hard to get walleye? We only fish walleye in the morning so we can get shorelunch im not looking to catch any hogs just eaters.
