Doug and I went out yesterday we had to bust a few inches of ice to get to our crappie hole and we didnt catch a darn thing.At least a few people are catching them.

BJ Bait on Clearwater had there Spring Crappie Tournament yesterday.  I drove by the lake yesterday morning. Lots of boats, but didn't see any catching anything.  Heard reports today, winning team only registered 7 fish for 7 lbs. Keep in mind this tournament runs from 7am-3pm and usually gets about 100 boats.

Gunny-five and myself are going to go try find some crappies today.

Yeah it was a tough bite yesterday.  But we at least got out fishing and my boat is ready for the year.  I will be leaving in a few minutes for more of it.  But heading a little further south this time.

Rob, all the crappies were about 8"...no big ones.   Saw about 10 boats out there this morning on my way to work.  Not sure how they are doing.

Had some fresh crappie this morning.  A guy at work caught some yesterday and the cook fried them up this morning for breakfast.  Nice big fillets.  Caught on a wright county favorite.
