Nice.  But a slow bite.  Tonight they'll be biting heavy.

Re: Fishing Reports  (United States)

Fishing has been slow down here. I haven't really had the chance to get out much lately. Been talking to friends and they haven't been having to much luck. Got the fishing contest tomorrow on Slyvia. Couple friends of mine decided to stay out in the house overnight after the contest so, I decided to also. Maybe, a big walleye will decide to bite.

Stopped at the Butcher Shop my friend works at to B.S. for awhile, Road kill deer are coming in, so watch out when driving at night.

Not much of a fishing report, but If I fished everyday, of every week, all winter long, I might have to live in my fishhouse all year if you know what I mean.

I'll post some pictures from the contest on sunday.

Robbo

Yeah, the fishing been slow here, and with all the other things I have had to do this year, that's fine.

I hear you on the fishing too much might get you to living there.  Been down that road, not quite the same reasons, but I have been from minus $400/mo to minus $1300/mo for 5 years now.  Don't know how I made it this far, well refinancing, credit, more debt, being creative and working 80-90 plus hours/week have kept me afloat.  Too much work and way too little sleep.  But I am within 28 months now, but who's counting.  I have the kids over half time and even homeless, we did better, even when the ex was vacationing more per year, then all 20 years of marriage combined.  But that's our great legal system.  Oh well.  I could go on forever on the abuses of the system.  But you are right, if you have a good one, don't push it too far.  I really didn't have a keeper, so in the end, we're going to all be happier.  Too bad it cost us all a ton and was never done fair, that created bad blood that will never go away.  But I have three great kids, so that's fine and that's what counts.

If things keep going in this direction, I'll be in a new boat in 2-3 years, maybe sooner (if the work pays off).  But the kids will first get drivers ed and lives back.  Then I need to replace some of the run down gear and that includes a boat and truck.

There you go, now you know why I am getting things done, now when the bites a little off.  I am driven to make things better for our kids and fishing keeps me sane.  The fish better look out when I get the chance, I have a lot of hook sets to make up.
